April 2018 Update

Hi everyone - it's been a few months since we have updated the blog, but we've been busy this year.  Here are a few updates:

1)  Update on the medical facility: In the last few months, the AMCB Foundation has completed about 90% of the construction of Phase I of our medical facility and distribution center in the village of Bikrampur Khilgaon.  The facility includes a medical facility, relief distribution center, and temporary accommodations for doctors, nurses, and other relief personnel.  Below are some updated pictures.

2) Rohingya refugees: In addition to constructing the medical facility, the AMCB Foundation is working to provide relief to Rohingya refugees.  We are in the process of developing plans to provide long-term help to these individuals.  Several Directors of AMCB Foundation and local volunteers visited  the Rohingya refugees in the  Rohingya refugee camp near the Bangladesh-Myanmar boarder in the Cox Bazar district.  They observed the refugee’s living conditions, interviewed the refugees and discussed their food, clothing, and medical care conditions, and discussed the situations in the refugee camp with the national and international charitable workers working there. This visit allowed the AMCB Foundation team to collect valuable information regarding the short-term and long-term needs of the refugees for food, clothing, medical care, education, and housing that will be useful to develop an effective humanitarian assistance program for the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh .
