The AMCB Foundation (www.amcbfoundation.org) and its Bangladesh affiliate AMCB Foundation Bangladesh (www.amcbfoundationbd.org) are raising money both in the San Antonio area and in Bangladesh to help those affected by COVID-19.  Here is an update on our efforts to help those affected by COVID-19 in the last several months:

Over the last few months in the San Antonio area, the AMCB Foundation participated in the Big Give COVID-19 Emergency Relief fundraising event.  The AMCB Foundation raised more than $800 and will use that money to provide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for frontline medical workers and to help the San Antonio Food Bank provide food to those affected by COVID-19.

During the last few months in Bangladesh, AMCB Foundation Bangladesh has distributed more than 200 PPEs for the frontline workers of a hospital and a City Corporation in Dhaka City in Bangladesh.  AMCB Foundation Bangladesh also provided food for nearly 100 people affected by COVID-19 in Dhaka City and a nearby rural village.  See below for photos of our distributions.

We will keep helping those affected by COVID-19 in the San Antonio area and Bangladesh.  In the San Antonio area, we are participating at the 2020 Big Give event scheduled for September 10, 2020.  We are also raising money from individual donors outside formal events.  All donations will be used to help those affected by COVID-19.  In Bangladesh, we will continue to provide aid to those in need.

3/26/2020

On March 7, 2020, AMCB Foundation Bangladesh distributed clothing to the rural poor and needy in Bangladesh.  The Foundation conducted the distribution at its medical facility and distribution center in Bikrampur Khilgaon village in the Munshiganj district in central Bangladesh.  During this event, about 110 pieces of clothing were distributed.  Most of the clothing (nearly 100 pieces) were given to women in need.  The remaining clothing was provided to men.

This event is part of AMCB Foundation Bangladesh’s regular distribution program in rural Bangladesh.  Every few months, AMCB Foundation Bangladesh will either hold medical clinics or distribute necessary items, such as food, clothing, blankets and school supplies, to different villagers and schools in need.  This event occurred before the Coronavirus outbreak began in Bangladesh, and in the near future, we will be conducting aid events to help those affected by Coronavirus.  All future relief efforts will take all necessary precautions related to Coronavirus and will follow the Bangladesh Government’s Coronavirus related restrictions.

If you are interested in helping out, please donate today!  Your donations will help us increase the amount and frequency of aid that we can provide in rural Bangladesh.

The AMCB Foundation is helping promote the San Antonio Food Bank's Covid-19 Response Campaign.  This campaign is raising money to provide food to those affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, including children, those out of work, and the elderly.  The San Antonio Food Bank plays an integral role in feeding those in need throughout San Antonio and the 16 surrounding counties.  The recent Covid-19 outbreak has made their efforts more important than ever.

As part of this effort, the AMCB Foundation is fundraising on behalf of the San Antonio Food Bank.  100% of all proceeds from donations made through the AMCB Foundation's Big Give SA webpage will be given to the food bank to help fund their Covid-19 Response Campaign.

Promoting this campaign is part of the AMCB Foundation's efforts to support the mission of the San Antonio Food Bank.  By promoting these efforts and volunteering regularly, the AMCB Foundation works to help the San Antonio Food Bank's mission.  Please join us in supporting the efforts of the San Antonio Food Bank.
